DR. ARIKA BANSAL, CO-FOUNDER

Dr. Arika Bansal is a Co-Founder of Eugenix Hair Sciences and a Fellow of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery. She holds an MBBS from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi, where she was awarded a gold medal for academic distinction, and an MD in Dermatology. She is alumni of AIIMS, New Delhi, and has over 15 years of experience in surgical hair restoration.
She is one of the few female surgeons in India specialising in hair transplant surgery. Her areas of focus include female hair transplantation, density enhancement, corrective procedures, and hairline design.
Alongside Co-Founder Dr. Pradeep Sethi, she developed Direct Hair Transplant, a modified approach in which extraction and implantation happen simultaneously, keeping grafts outside the body for under 30 minutes compared to the three to four hours typical of conventional FUE. The technique was published in the Journal of Cutaneous and Aesthetic Surgery in 2013. The two have also co authored Step By Step Hair Transplantation, a book examining the DHT technique in detail, and she contributes regularly to peer reviewed medical journals.

Her patients include practising doctors who chose Eugenix for their own hair restoration, people who knew exactly what the procedure involved before they decided.
Under the leadership of Co-Founders Dr. Pradeep Sethi and Dr. Arika Bansal, Eugenix has completed over 20,000 hair transplant procedures across 15 plus years, and major complications are exceptionally rare.
Her approach places planning ahead of volume. Every case begins with an assessment of what the patient’s own donor area can sustainably provide, rather than working backward from a target graft count. It is an approach built around results that still hold a decade later, not only in the first year, and it reflects the standard she works to personally: do it once, do it right.
